This is a “cut to the chase” version of THE FACTS. “True Fact” is one of my favorite tautologies. We hear it a lot, mostly shooting out of the mouths of politicians and other public servants AFTER someone has found them up to their eyeballs in stupidity.
“When the ‘true facts’ come out, I will be vindicated,” they often say. The fact that as soon as they say it, most of us know they’re guilty as sin, never crosses their minds!
My aim is to make you aware of the difference between FACTS, as opposed to those cute little FACTOIDS, which look like facts and sound like facts, but are INDEED… um, not facts!
